Search for missing hiker suspended

HEAD WATERS — A five-day search for a hiker who went missing at the Augusta County line on Shenandoah Mountain was called off Monday. Dozens upon dozens of commuters and shoppers crossing the mountains in the several days noticed police vehicles parked daily at the pull-off area at the top of Shenandoah, including at least one deputy car from Highland on a couple of those days.
